A Central Park Boathouse Wedding In New York City

Hanna and Brian were married in New York City with a ceremony at Park Avenue Christian Church followed by a reception at the Central Park Boathouse. What I love most about their wedding is that it felt like a modern take on a very classic New York wedding. Both are transplants to the city, Hanna from the Midwest and Brian from outside Philadelphia, so it was important to them to give their guests a real New York experience and highlight the places that shaped their story. Many of their guests had never been to the city before, so the whole day became a love letter to New York.

Hanna is a fashion editor at The Cut, and her wedding style definitely reflected that. She wore a Vera Wang gown paired with Brother Vellies shoes she had been saving for years. The reception at the Boathouse leaned into timeless New York elegance, with cocktails overlooking Central Park and a dance floor that kept going late into the night. The wedding was planned and designed by Sara Landon Events and later featured on The Cut.
