Sarah & Aaron were far from your ordinary couple and did things their own way. They kept their bridal party very small and meaningful; Sarah's sister acted as maid of honor, while Aaron's father (also wearing matching shoes & socks!) was Aaron's best man. They switched things up for ceremony time and held their "cocktail hour" before the ceremony, which allowed them to be part of the entire event. This helped ease any nerves, gave their guests more time to sip on an array of rare whiskey's and most importantly gave them more time with their guests!
Understated elegance was at the forefront of the wedding design. With a classic undercurrent, they made it more "them" by adding in some modern touches. For example, their ceremony set up designed by Rion Designs and Cole Drake Events was more of a lounge with a mix of sofas, arm chairs, and high boys for standing. Some guests held signs that read "shhh" and "quiet please!" which helped set the laid-back vibe they were going for. And for dinner, they had long dining tables with green garlands, pops of white and lavender florals, and custom letterpress and wood lasered menus for each guest.
